GenAI Dashboard Builder

You can use GenAI Dashboard Builder to create and edit dashboards with natural language prompts. Specify the dashboard content, chart types, and layout requirements and the builder adds content to the dashboard canvas.
Note: This feature is available to customers with an Infor Velocity Suite subscription.

From a single prompt, the AI can create:

  • KPI cards that show key metrics and trend indicators.
  • Charts and tables, such as bar charts, line charts, pie charts, and data tables.
  • Text boxes that describe dashboard content.
  • Filters, including cascading filters and grouped filters.

You can continue the conversation with follow-up requests to refine, add, change, or remove content. The dashboard updates as content are generated.

Creating a new Dashboard

  1. Select Dashboard.
  2. Click Create a new dashboard.
  3. Select one of these options:
    • Build with AI (default) to opens the chat-based generation experience
    • Classic Create to open the traditional manual dashboard builder
  4. Click Build with AI to start.

Editing an existing Dashboard

  1. Open a published dashboard.
  2. Click Edit mode.
  3. Click the chat icon to open the AI chat.
  4. Specify a request to add, change, or remove dashboard content.

Building a Dashboard

  1. Specify a description of the dashboard. Example prompts:
    • "Create a dashboard with sales KPIs and a chart that shows revenue by category."
    • "Build a finance dashboard with monthly revenue, top customers, and a regional breakdown."
    • "I need an inventory overview with stock levels and a chart of product turnover."
  2. Review the generated dashboard. As the AI generates content, dashboard elements are displayed on the canvas in real time. You can see the dashboard being assembled as the AI processes your request, such as KPIs, charts, filters, and text boxes are placed and arranged automatically.
  3. Refine with follow-up prompts. Example prompts:
    • "Remove that KPI."
    • "Change the date filter to show last 12 months."
  4. Click Publish to make the dashboard available to other users.
    Note: If dashboard content is still being generated, the Publish button is not available. Wait until content generation is complete, and then publish the dashboard.
