Using unique chart type configurations

Some chart types, such as gauge and donut, provide additional configuration options for you to enable. These configurations can be enabled during the widget creation, depending on your Chart Type. See Additional chart configurations by type.

  1. Navigate to the Chart Type tab in the Widget Configuration window.
  2. To create a gauge chart, select Gauge and complete the additional tabs displayed in the Widget Configuration window.
    1. Navigate to the Layout tab. Select this information:
      Main Metric
      Enable this setting to display the main metric with the chart.
      Position
      The position layout of the metric in relation to the chart.
      Font Face
      The font to use for the widget.
      Font Style
      The style of the font to use for the widget, such as bold, italics, and normal.
      Font Color
      The color of the font to use for the widget.
    2. Navigate to the Needle tab and select a Needle Style for your gauge widget.
    3. Navigate to the Hole Size tab and set the size of the center hole in the gauge chart.
    4. Navigate to the Angles tab and set the angle for your gauge chart.
  3. To create a donut or semi-donut chart, select Donut or Semi-donut and complete the additional tabs.
    1. Navigate to the Segment tab and set the number of distinct segments to display in the chart.
    2. Navigate to the Hole Size tab and set the size of the center hole in the gauge chart.
