Connecting the widget to a custom application

If you created a custom application in Application Management with a consumer space resource, you can set it as your widget's content application. This way, your widget can use any custom and partner-created spaces as content applications for your widget.

  1. Click the navigation menu icon.
  2. Select your workspace from the Workspaces section.
  3. Click + Add Widget. The Widget Catalog is displayed.
  4. Select and add the Visual Analytics from the Widget Catalog. Use the Search field to search for the widget.
  5. Click Configure Widget.
  6. Select Birst as the product in the Select Product window and then click Next.
  7. If you created a custom application with a consumer space, it is displayed in the list in the Select Content Application window. Select your custom application as your Content Application, and then click Next.
  8. Complete the widget setup by specifying a Query and completing the chart settings in the Widget Configuration window. See Creating the analytics widget chart for more information.
