Adding a consumer space resource to a custom application

After you create your custom application, the first resource you can assign is a consumer space resource. This assigns a main consumer space to your custom application. Before you add additional resource types, you must assign a consumer space.
Note: If you created an analytics widget in Infor OS Portal, you can set a custom application with a consumer space resource as your widget's content application. This way, your widget can use that content application's space. In the Infor Birst Online Help library, select OS Portal with Birst > Birst analytics to learn more about using a custom application for your widget.

Spaces can only be assigned to one resource/custom application.

  1. Select the new custom application.
  2. Click the More Actions icon for the custom application.
  3. Click Assign Resource. The Assign Resource window is displayed.
The Resource Type is defaulted to Space for the first assigned resource.
  4. For the consumer space resource, complete this information:
    Resource Name
Select the name of the space you want to use as a resource from the list of the available spaces in the account. A space can only be assigned to one resource/custom application. If a space is missing from this list, it is already in use.

This toggle is automatically enabled for the first resource. This toggle entitles the space to OS Portal/Mingle.

The space group corresponds with an IFS Security Role in OS Portal.
    Define Application User Roles (Admin)
