Disable space groups
Related to Account Groups is the ability to override account level permissions at the space level by employing space level group permissions. Birst Account administrators have the power to provide or deny access to users to assign space level group permissions that can override the account level group permissions using the Disable Space Groups permission. The default setting for Disable Space Groups is disabled.
Setting the Disable Space Groups option means the Manage Groups tab is not visible in the Admin module for users in an Account Group with the enabled.
Note: If any space level ACL is added/disabled in an account group, the
account group must be added into the space in order to make it effective. For example, if you
have Disable Space Groups enabled and you do not
add the account group to a space, users from the group can still manage groups. For Disable Space Groups to take effect, the account group with
Disable Space Groups enabled must be added to a
space. Then, users from that group are prevented from managing or creating space groups.
