Threshold Type

This specifies how the gradations are determined based on the measure values of the report result set. Select one of the following:

Quantiles: Provides unequally sized measure value intervals based on quantiles. Interval limits are determined such that an equal number of points falls into each interval.
EqualSteps: Divides the entire measure value range into intervals of equal size.
AbsoluteDeviation: Adjusts the size of the measure value intervals in order to minimize classification error. Classification error is calculated using a formula of an absolute deviation from class median.
Custom: Allows the specification of custom ranges and colors. Launches the Custom Thresholds dialog box.

Note: If a Threshold Type of Custom is selected, an Edit button is displayed below this field. Click this button to edit the custom Threshold Type.
