Important notes and minimum system requirements

Please note:

• To access Llinux nginx server(s) please use “https” instead of “http”.
• Use nginx behind a load balancer or instance which can cater SSL connections.
• Allow "https(443)" traffic to access the Linux server(s).
• The configuration parameter "birst.nginx.baseURL" should match with the URL used to access appliance e.g. if appliance is accessed as https://20230405217385appliance.example.com the parameter should look like: birst.nginx.baseURL":"https://20230405217385appliance.example.com.
• You must keep at least a 15GB storage buffer so that the package can be downloaded and installed in both disks.
• The default user credentials to log in to Appliance after installation is “accountadmin@birst.com/birst@123birst@123”.
• Keep SQL server, ActiveMQ, Opensearch and MongoDB servers' information so you can easily refer to it.
• Appliance does not have internal mail server so please configure application.properties “mailhost” entry with company’s mail server.
• In the steps listed in this guide, please encrypt credentials by using existing appliance “repo service” in the admin section.
