Overview: creating Dashboards

Before you create a new dashboard, make sure you have the correct permissions to access the space that you want to use for the data, and permission to use the Dashboards module. If you would like to copy an existing dashboard, see Copying Dashboards.

These steps provides a very high level overview of the process dashboard. The subsequent topics in this guide provide more in-depth details to create a dashboard.

  1. Select what types of information to display and form a general idea of how you want it to look.
  2. Select the space that has the data you require.
  3. In the space, add existing reports or charts. Optionally, you can build new reports in Visualizer or Designer that can become the components of the dashboard.
  4. Identify any text, images, or external website pages to include.
  5. Save the space.
  6. Navigate to Dashboards and use the space to create your dashboard.
