Recovering a space with Merge Recovery

You can recover and revert your space to its previous state before a merge workflow was run with Merge Recovery. Merge Recovery can be accessed from the Merge Recovery window from Orchestration and Monitoring.

Note: If a merge workflow has not been run, nothing is displayed in the Merge Recovery window.

To recover your space with Merge Recovery from Orchestration:

  1. From Orchestration, select your merge workflow from the Workflow list.
  2. Click Actions, then select Merge Recovery. The Merge Recovery window is displayed with a list of the run history for that space/workflow.
  3. Select a run record from run history, then select the date/time you want to recover.
  4. Click Recover.

To recover your space with Merge Recovery from Monitoring:

  1. From Monitoring, specify or select a space name in the Space Select field.
  2. Click Select Space. The jobs that have been run for that space are listed.
  3. Expand the Merge section in the list.
  4. Identify the merge task you want to recover from, then click More Details. The Details window is displayed.
  5. Click Recover in Orchestration from the Details window. The Merge Recovery window is displayed with a list of the run history for that space/workflow.
  6. Select a run record from run history, then select the date/time you want to recover.
  7. Click Recover.
Note: A merge recovery is a full restore of the repository. When a user reverts a space back to before a workflow was run, any model changes that were implemented after the original merge workflow but before the merge recovery is lost. For example, if a merge is run on a Monday, model changes occur on Tuesday, and then the space is recovered to before Monday, anything done on Tuesday is lost.
