Opening a Visualizer Report from a Dashboard
A Dashboards 2.0 user can open and edit a Visualizer report to perform ad-hoc analysis.
To open a Visualizer report from a new dashboard in Dashboards 2.0
You can open a report from a dashboard directly
into Visualizer, edit it, save it, and return to the dashboard editor.
Use the fan menu of the report dashlet.
To open a Visualizer report from an original HTML5 dashboard
Prerequisite: Check the Enable Visualizer box in the original Dashboard Dashlet Properties to give users the ability to open the report in Visualizer.
1. | Open the Dashboards
module. If you are not using the HTML5 version of Dashboards, right-click the dashboard page containing the Visualizer report and select View as HTML5. |
2. | From an HTML5
dashboard, click the icon in the dashlet header. The
report opens in Visualizer. If you do not see this icon, the ability to open the report inVisualizer has not been enabled for this dashlet. |
3. | Make any changes you want to further explore your data, such as changing how the data is filtered or adding additional metrics. |
4. | When you are
finished, click the close icon in the upper right corner
to close Visualizer and return to the HTML5 dashboard. |
