Convert an ADR Space to the New Metadata Infrastructure
You can convert an Automated Data Refinement (ADR) space to use the new metadata infrastructure. This will allow you to utilize the features and capabilities offered by Modeler and Admin 2.0 while continuing to use the data model created previously with the classic ADR modeling tools. For FAQs on converting an ADR space, see FAQs for Converting an ADR Space.
Spaces must use the new metadata infrastructure to leverage:
- Modeler
- Connect, including Birst Connect 2.0
- Prepare
- Relate
- Admin 2.0
- Networking
- Data buckets in Visualizer
You can create ADR spaces that use the new metadata infrastructure in two manners:
- For existing ADR spaces, navigate to the Admin module's Modify Properties page and select the Convert Space to new metadata infrastructure checkbox. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save.
Note: If the Convert Space to new metadata infrastructure option is not available, you need to update your Process Engine Version. From Classic Admin Home, click Modify Properties. The Process Engine Version must be greater or equal to 5.28.
Tip: Because the space properties are changing, you will need to temporarily navigate away from the Admin module or to another space and back to your newly converted space to see the new properties take effect. - When creating an ADR space from Classic Admin, check the Create Space on new metadata infrastructure checkbox.
Tip: All new spaces created from Admin 2.0 will use the new metadata infrastructure and will not require a conversion.
