Enabling OCI for an Account and its Users

There are two steps to enabling OCI so that you or another user can download the ODBC Driver and connect to ODBC clients. First enable the Birst account, then enable users.

To provision OCI for an account

  • If you are a Cloud customer, contact your Infor representative.
    Or:
  • If you have an Appliance, follow these steps:
    1. Log in as an Account Administrator.
    2. Go to https://server_url/apps/#/provisioning.
    3. Enter the Account ID for the Account Administrator.
    4. The Feature Provisioning page lists the available features.
    5. Toggle the feature On or Off.
    6. Click Save.

To enable or disable user access to OCI

You must be an Account Administrator to control user access to the OCI product, the ODBC Driver.

  1. Before enabling access, make sure the user accounts exist in the system. See Creating a User.
  2. On the Home page click User Management.



  3. On the User Management tab click Feature Management.
  4. On the Feature Management tab click OCI.
  5. Enter the user name.
    Tip: If you do not know the full user name, enter a partial name. Wildcards are not supported.
  6. Select a particular space or All spaces.
    Tip: You can use only one space per OCI ODBC Driver connection.
  7. Click Search. The Username column lists one or more users.
  8. Select the user or users from the list.
  9. Click Actions - Enable, or Actions - Disable. When enabled, the Enabled column shows a green circle.
  10. Notify the users and advise them to log out and log in again for the feature to be available to them.
