Birst and Tableau

You can leverage the Birst user-ready data store together with Tableau visual analytics software to create a 2-tier business intelligence solution.

The Birst ODBC Driver has been verified against Tableau 8.3 and 9.0.

To get started using Tableau with Birst:

1. Create a custom subject area in Birst. See Creating a Custom Subject Area for OCI.
2. Install the Birst ODBC Driver and configure the Birst data source. See Using the ODBC Driver.
3. Start Tableau, connect to Birst, create a Tableau visual model, and build Tableau worksheets. See Using Birst Data in Tableau.
