Changing the Table Display in Classic Designer

Designer has two display modes for tables:

Formatted: the traditional table display. If a report has had layout changes applied in either the Layout tab or via the pivot control, you can only use the formatted table display.

Flex grid: the flex grid table display has a clean look and lets you sort columns by clicking on the column header. The flex grid table display is only available for regular reports.

For example:

To change the table display for a report

1. In Classic Designer, click Options - Report Properties. The Report Properties dialog box opens.
2. Check Use Flex Grid to use the flex grid style. Uncheck the box to use the traditional table display.
3. Click Save. The table displays in the selected style.

Tips:

When using the flex grid table display, right-click on a column header to access the column options menu.

Use the toggle at the top of the Designer page to choose between the flex grid and formatted table displays.
