Designer has two display modes for tables:
Formatted: the traditional table display. If a report has had layout changes applied in either the Layout tab or via the pivot control, you can only use the formatted table display.
Flex grid: the flex grid table display has a clean look and lets you sort columns by clicking on the column header. The flex grid table display is only available for regular reports.
For example:
To change the table display for a report
| 1. | In Classic Designer, click Options - Report Properties. The Report Properties dialog box opens. |
| 2. | Check Use Flex Grid to use the flex grid style. Uncheck the box to use the traditional table display. |
| 3. | Click Save. The table displays in the selected style. |
Tips:
When using the flex grid table display, right-click on a column header to access the column options menu.
Use the
toggle at the top of the Designer page to choose between the flex grid
and formatted table displays.
