Adding Drilling Capability to a Classic Designer Button
You can add drilling capability to a button in a Classic Designer report. This
feature allows you to display a specific report when a button is pressed
on a dashboard page using a hidden prompt.
To add drilling capability to a Classic Designer button

Open the report containing the button and click the
Layout tab to switch to layout view. |

Right-click the button and select Button Properties.
The Button Properties dialog box opens. |

Under Drill to Dashboard, select the dashboard page
to drill to from the button. The dropdown list contains all the saved
dashboards.
The dashboard must be previously created and saved. It can be empty.
If your target dashboard is not already set up, you can select another
one here, but be sure to come back to this dialog box and change it to
the correct dashboard once it has been set up. |

To specify additional drill parameters, click the
Additional Drill Params button. The Additional Drill Parameters dialog opens. |

In the bottom part of the dialog, click Click to Add Param and type a name for the parameter and a value.
For example, you could add a name of Prompt1 with a value of 100.
The top part of the dialog box is not applicable to buttons. It is only
applicable when adding drilling to columns. |

Click Save in the Additional Drill Parameters dialog. |

7.

Click Save in the Button Properties dialog. |
