Modeler Connect

This section contains changes to Modeler Connect in Infor Birst for the minor release version 2022.08.

Support for NetSuite2.com NetSuite JDBC connections

NetSuite2.com connections are now supported for NetSuite JDBC Connector. Users connect to NetSuite2.com from Modeler Connect. In Connect: add a new connection, select NetSuite JDBC from Select the connector, and click More Options. In the additional options panel, the new Data Source field displays "NetSuite.com" as the default connection. Delete the text in the Data Source field and enter "NetSuite2.com" in the field. After entering NetSuite.2.com credentials in other fields and saving the connection, users can extract objects from their NetSuite2.com data source.

Compass Infor Data Lake Connector

Infor Data Lake Connector is now available for Enterprise spaces. This feature allows Birst to now connect to the Infor Data Lake Connector for a cloud application connection. Users can use this connector to connect to and extract objects from the Infor Data Lake using Compass. The Data Lake Connector can be accessed in ModelerConnect.

Saving query-based objects without previewing for Infor Data Lake connector

Added the ability to save query-based objects for the Infor Data Lake connector without previewing the query, correcting an issue that caused the preview to time out due to the length of the query, improving functionality. Previously, a preview request was sent each time a user selected a catalog object or saved a query-based object to the connector. Now, users can enable Skip Preview on the More Options tab of the Create Connection window so that the data preview of the connection is skipped. When Skip Preview is enabled, the application displays a message indicating that the preview is not available. The Skip Preview option is disabled by default.

Note: The Skip Preview applies to all data types and not just query-based objects.
