Report authors can create and save expressions directly to the Subject Area. Saved expressions can be in the form of measures or attributes.
To edit saved expressions, you must have the appropriate privileges in the Admin module via Manage Groups.
To edit a saved expression
| 1. | In Classic Designer,
right-click on a saved expression in the Subject Area and select Edit
Expression. Alternatively, select the saved expression in the Subject
Area, click the Expression icon  and select Edit
Expression. The Expression Properties dialog box opens. |
| 2. | Modify the
format, type of expression (Dimension or Measure) and the expression itself.
The name and location cannot be changed. |
| 3. | Click Save to save the changes to the expression. |
Tip: To delete
an expression, right-click on a saved expression in the Subject Area and
select Delete Expression. Alternatively, select the saved expression in
the Subject Area, click the Expression icon and
select Delete Expression.
