Adding a User to a Space

Account Administrators can add a user to a space with the addusertospace command, or add multiple users to a space on the User Management page.

Tip: Alternatively, Space Administrators can add a user to a space by sending an invitation. See Sharing a Space.

To add a user to a space using the Command Window

1. Go to Admin - Manage Space - Command Window.
2. In the Command line enter the commands and press Enter.

addusertospace username "space name"|space_ID admin=true|false

Example:

addusertospace pinky@acmelabs.com "Acme Labs Space" admin=false

To add one or more users to a space on the User Management page

3. On the Home page click User Management. The User Management page opens.

If you do not see this button, you are not an Account Administrator and do not have access to this functionality.
4. Click Search without entering anything into the Username field to bring up a list of all users. Alternatively, search for particular users.

Tip: In a list of users, click a column header such as Username to sort on that column.
5. Select one or more user names. Ctrl-click to make multiple selections.
6. Click Add To Space.
7. Select the space from the Space list, then click Continue. A confirmation message verifies that the users were added and now have access to the specified space.
