Communication Provider Routing

Use Communication Provider Routing to configure how inbound EDI files received from Exchange Services (EXS) are routed to the appropriate Automotive Exchange trading partner configuration.

Communication Provider Routing is used primarily for proprietary APAC OEM formats that do not contain standard envelope headers or explicit message identifiers.

In these scenarios, Transformation uses metadata from the communication-provider, such as the External Partner ID and Data Set Name, to determine how the message must be processed.

For APAC OEM EDI messages, Communication Provider Routing works together with the CustomMessageIDs code list. Communication Provider Routing identifies the routing configuration. The CustomMessageIDs code list identifies the sender and receiver values from the message.

Use the Communication Provider Routing page to map inbound communication-provider metadata to Automotive Exchange processing settings.

The mapping associates an incoming External Partner ID and Data Set Name with a Trading Partner, Message Standard, and Message Type.
