Application Advice

On the Application Advices page, you can review and check the incoming Application Advice messages. These messages have been imported and stored in Transformation in response to a previously published ASN message.

You can also export the application advices using the Export option. The application exports the data to a CSV file that is packaged in a ZIP file.

Note: 
  • If you select check boxes corresponding to the application advices, the application exports the selected application advices.
  • If the check boxes are cleared, the application exports the application advices on the current page.

The exported CSV file contains these columns:

  • Row Number
  • Original Document Number
  • Original Document Type
  • Original Document Date
  • Document ID
  • Acknowledge Type
  • Transaction Number
  • Last Update Date
  • Error Description Code
  • Error Data
  • Error Description
  • Note Reference Code
  • Note Reference Data Description

You can click and hold the three-dot icon on the column header and drag the column to the required position.

You can use the Personalize Columns option from the More… menu and personalize (hide or unhide, or reorder the column header to the required position) the columns.

You can reset the columns order to default using the Reset Columns Order option from the More… menu.

The page shows a list of Application Advice messages. The Acknowledgment Type column provides feedback on the validity of the previously sent ASN messages:

  • Transaction Set Accepted: The EDI transaction has been accepted.
  • Transaction Set Accepted with Errors: The EDI transaction includes errors, but has been accepted. The errors should be investigated and a solution provided to avoid future shipment issues.
  • Transaction Set Rejected: The EDI transaction has been rejected. The corresponding ASN message should be corrected and sent again to the customer.
  • Item Accepted with Error: The item information of the previously sent ASN message includes errors, but has been accepted. The errors should be investigated and a solution provided to avoid future shipment issues.
  • Item Rejected: The item information of the previously sent ASN message has been rejected. The corresponding ASN message should be corrected and sent again to the customer.

To search for a specific Application Advice message, specify the document ID of the original ASN message in the field entry of the Original Document Number column. You can specify additional filter criteria in the field entries of other columns.
