Setting up alerts in Infor OS Portal

The method of sending alerts is by email. The users who are eligible to receive the alerts are assigned to distribution groups.
Note: The email alert functionality can be disabled, if desired, through the use of the DisableEmails code list. Activating this code list disables all email alerts regardless of the setup of distribution groups. Note that the default setting for the DisableEmails code list is inactive.

To set up alerts in Infor OS Portal:

  1. In Infor OS Portal, select Account Creation from the Security Application menu.
  2. Click User Details of the user who receives the alerts.
  3. On the Security Roles tab, ensure that the user has the role MingleIONEnabled. If the role is not assigned to the user, click Add new item, add the role, and save the changes.
  4. Expand the side menu. Select Manage > Groups.
  5. To add the predefined distribution group names and their descriptions in the table below, download the CSV file that is attached to KB 2227530 to your local computer. Click Import. In the Import Distribution Groups dialog box, select the CSV file, select Update existing distribution groups, and click Import.

  6. As the group name, specify the name of the distribution group under Alert Configurations. For example, Alert TFS-0004 is tied to distribution group AE_Transformation. In this case, specify the group name AE_Transformation.
  7. To add the user to the new group, select Manage > Groups. Add or click User Details of the user who receives the alerts. Under User Management, select the user, click the Groups tab and click Add new item. Add the group AE_Transformation to the user and save your changes.
  8. If an alert of this type is sent to Infor OS Portal, you can view the alert listed in a drop-down list. To view the alerts, click Inbox > Alerts.
