Deactivating contracts

Note: For this feature to be available before it is included in the next feature release, you must add the feature's new code list property to the FeatureActivationcode list. The code list properties for a feature include the valid Identifier, and effective dates. Navigate to Master Data > Codes and select the FeatureActivation code list; on the Manage Code Properties dialog, specify ShowChangeContractsPage in the Identifier field and the effective dates to enable this functionality.
Note: Access to this functionality is restricted to application users who have the assigned role of SRMConfigAdmin in Release Management.
  1. Select Release Management > Administrative Functions > Deactivate Contracts.
  2. Specify this information:
    Accounting Entity
A corporation or a subset of a corporation that is independent in regard to one or more operational functions or accounting functions. An accounting entity produces a P&L and balance sheet from a complete, balanced set of transactions, and is often a legal entity. An accounting entity is defined within a tenant and can contain locations.
    Customer
The customer who holds the contract. This field is optional.
  3. Click Deactivate Contracts. After clicking this button, a log displays at the bottom of the page indicating how many contract lines are deactivated.
Note: To view the deactivation details for any contracts, select Release Management > Contracts. Click the View Log Entries button in the upper right corner of the Contracts page.
Note: If an updated Contract BOD is received with Open and Active status values, the contract displays as reactivated on the Contracts page. When you click the View Log Entries button, all contract updates also display on the Log Entry dialog.
