Overview

Configuration Management is a program that enables the transfer of configurations, content, security authorization data and extensions from one tenant to another in an automated way.

This feature significantly improves productivity through all phases of InforCloud implementations, go-lives and post-go-live.

Local packages are mainly intended for CI/CD use cases within a single customer. A local package may consist of a set of content, configuration, security authorization data and/or extensions (from one or more applications) that can be exported from a source tenant and deployed to a target tenant of the same customer.

In Automotive Exchange, local packages contain this data:
  • Configuration data of Transformation Service, Shipping Service, Release Management Service grouped per Accounting Entity
  • The codelist content of the Master Data Service.
Note: The configuration data of Transformation Service, Shipping Service and Release Management Service is exported and deployed per Accounting Entity, whereas the Master Data Service content is applicable to the Tenant in scope. On the CloudSuite Self-Service Portal (CSSP), Customer admin users have an option to pick and choose the Accounting Entities whose configurations are to be exported and deployed from source tenant to target tenant. In addition, ensure that the chosen Accounting Entities are configured in the target Tenant’s Infor OS and are associated to the customer user.
