Creating contact master data
You can use the Contact Masters page as a stand-alone solution to manage your contact master data if not provided by the ERP system.
Note: If you use the Contact Masters page as a stand-alone solution, the
ContactMaster BOD
import must be deactivated. To create contact master data:
- Select Master Data > Contact Masters.
- Click Create.

Specify the header information. You can specify all fields
except the Last Modified
By, Last Import
Date, and Accounting Entity fields.
- Contact
- This field contains the ID of the contact master data.
- Version
- This field contains the version of the contact master data.
- Title
- This field indicates the title of the contact person.
- First Name
- This field contains the first name of the contact person.
- Middle Name
- This field contains the middle name of the contact person.
- Last Name
- This field contains the last name of the contact person.
- Name Suffix
- This field contains the name suffix of the contact person.
- Gender
- This field indicates the gender of the contact person.
- Birthday
- This field indicates the birthday of the contact person.
- Job Title
- This field indicates the job title of the contact person.
- Department
- This field indicates the contact person's department.
- Contact Status
- This field shows the status of the contact master data. The contact statuses Open, Closed, Pending, and Deleted are available.
- Note
- This field shows a note on the contact person.
- Effective from Date
- Review or specify the first day on which the master data are valid.

At the bottom of the page, click Create to specify the Contact Master
Details.
The Communications dialog box opens.

Specify the details of a contact person as required:
- Default Communication Channel
- Select the check box, if the contact person is the default contact.
- Sequence
- This field shows the sequence number of the contact.
- Channel Code
- This field shows the channel code. You can select a channel code from the drop-down list. Available channel codes are Phone, E-Mail, Messenger, Website, and Social Media.
- Use Code
- Shows the use of the communication channel.
- Country Prefix
- Shows the country where the contact person is located.
- Area Code
- Shows the area code of the contact person.
- Phone Number
- Shows the phone number of the contact person.
- Extension
- Shows an extension for the contact person.
- URI
- Shows an URI web address of a resource from the contact person.
- Language
- Shows the language of the contact person.
- Do Not Mail
- Select the check box, if e-mail contact is unwanted.
- Do Not Call
- Select the check box, if telephone contact is unwanted.
- To save the contact master details, click OK.

To save the contact master data, click Save.
A notification displays that the contact master data has been saved successfully.
