Configuring the CustomAdditionalRoutings code list

Use this procedure to configure the CustomAdditionalRoutings code list. The purpose of this configuration is to match a trading partner to an EDI message by using an additional parameter in the sender or receiver details of the partner ID setup.

  1. Select Master Data > Codes.
  2. Specify CustomAdditionalRoutings in the Name field.
  3. Click Drill Down to open the code list.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Click Create to add an additional routing for the sender or receiver of EDI messages.
  6. In the Header Data section, specify this information:
    Identifier
    Specify the identifier code of the sender or receiver.
    Short Description
    Specify a short description.
    Description
    Specify a detailed description.
    Effective from Date
    This field shows the first day on which a record or a setting is valid. The settings are valid until the Effective to Date.
    Effective to Date
    This field shows the last day on which a record or a setting is valid. See Effective from Date.
  7. In the Property Values section, specify this information:
    Additional Routing ID Position 1
    Specify the segment name for the additional routing information. For example, UNB.
    Additional Routing ID Position 2
    Specify an element number to indicate the position to use for the additional routing. For example, in this segment UNB*sample1*sample2.1:sample2.2:sample2.3, specify the element number of 3 to target the sample2.1 position in UNB*sample1.
    Additional Routing ID Position 3
    Specify a sub-element number to indicate the position to use for the additional routing. For example, in this segment UNB*sample1*sample2.1:sample2.2:sample2.3, specify the sub-element number of 3 to target the sample2.3 position in UNB*sample1.
