Checking the list of Functional Acknowledgment messages

On the Functional Acknowledgment page, you can review and check the list of Functional Acknowledgments in response to previously published EDI messages. The user receives an alert message, if a Functional Acknowledgment reports an error on the previously sent EDI message. An alert is also raised, if the defined waiting time for the Functional Acknowledgment is exceeded. You can check the reason for the alert to solve the issue and correct the corresponding EDI message.

To check the list of Functional Acknowledgment messages:

  1. Select Transformation > Functional Acknowledgment.
  2. Specify a search term in the field entries of these columns to filter the list of Functional Acknowledgment:
    Original Document Number
    The original document number of the EDI message.
    Original Document Type
    The original document type can be a Shipment or an Invoice.
    Original Document Date
    The creation date/time of the corresponding EDI message.
    Document ID
    The field shows the document ID of the original EDI message.
    Acknowledge Status
    The Acknowledge Status provides feedback on the validity of the previously sent EDI message:
    • Accepted: Published EDI message for which a Functional Acknowledgment has been received without reporting errors. The transformation set process has been successfully accepted.
    • Accepted with Errors: Published EDI message for which a Functional Acknowledgment has been received with reporting errors. The transformation set process has been accepted in spite of the errors.
    • Rejected; Message Authentication: Functional Acknowledgment has been rejected, because the EDI message requires authentication.
    • Partially Accepted: Published EDI message for which a Functional Acknowledgment has been received with some reporting errors. The transformation set process has been partially accepted.
    • Rejected: Functional Acknowledgment has been rejected, because of errors.
    Transaction Number
    The transaction number that is used by the original EDI message.
  3. Click the Drill down button of an Functional Acknowledgment message.
    The content of the Functional Acknowledgment is displayed in the detail view of the Functional Acknowledgment page.
  4. Review the details of the Functional Acknowledgment:
    Original Document Group Number
    The field shows the document group number of the original EDI message. When an inbound Functional Acknowledgment message is processed, it is reconciled with the original outbound EDI message. The incoming Functional Acknowledgment message includes the Original Document Group Number of the original outbound EDI message in Transformation.
