Reviewing the Release Information field set
The Release Information field set on the Combined Plan tab shows the details of the current and previous release orders.
To review the Release Information field set:
- Select Release Management > Plans.
- Click the Drill down button of an active plan.

On the Combined Plan
tab, expand the Release
Information field set. Review this information:
- New Release Number
- The new release order number.
- Old Release Number
- The previous release order number.
- New Release Date
- The new release order date.
- Old Release Date
- The previous release order date.
- Release Horizon Start Date
- The release order horizon start date.
- Release Horizon End Date
- The release order horizon end date.
- Raw Material Release Start Date
- The start date for the release of raw material that must be ordered by the supplier.
- Raw Material Release End Date
- The end date for the release of raw material that must be ordered by the supplier.
- Fabrication Release Start Date
- The start date for the production release of the ordered items that must be manufactured and shipped by the supplier.
- Fabrication Release End Date
- The end date for the production release of the ordered items that must be manufactured and shipped by the supplier.
- Raw Material CUM
- The cumulative number of the raw material release that must be reached at the Raw Material Release End Date. The Raw Material CUM controls the subsequent release of raw material that must be ordered by the supplier.
- Fabrication CUM
- The cumulative number of the production release that must be reached at the Fabrication Release End Date. The Fabrication CUM controls the subsequent production release of the ordered items that must be manufactured and shipped by the supplier.
- Max. Raw Material CUM
- Some customers send changing raw material CUM numbers. The highest raw material CUM number that has been sent by the customer is displayed in this field. If you specify a Raw Material CUM that is higher than the last received Max. Raw Material CUM, then the new Raw Material CUM is stored in the Max. Raw Material CUM field. If you specify a raw material CUM number that is lower than the Max. Raw Material CUM, then this CUM number is ignored.
- In case of a manual CUM reset: The new values of Max. Raw Material CUM and Max. Fabrication CUM fields are taken from the Raw Material CUM and Raw Fabrication CUM fields of the previous single plan. The Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM and Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM fields receive the values from the Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM and Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM of the previous single plan.
- In case of an automatic CUM reset through the import of a new EDI message: The new values of Max. Raw Material CUM and Max. Fabrication CUM fields are taken from the Raw Material CUM and Raw Fabrication CUM fields of the EDI message. The Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM and Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM fields receive the version of the new combined plan.
- Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM
- Internal version number of the plan that caused the last change of the Max. Raw Material CUM. To display this plan, select Historic Plan from the Processing Status drop-down list on the Plans page. Click the Drill down button of the appropriate plan version.
- Max. Fabrication CUM
- Some customers send changing fabrication CUM numbers. The highest fabrication CUM number that has been sent by the customer is displayed in this field. If you specify a Fabrication CUM that is higher than the last received Max. Fabrication CUM, then the new Fabrication CUM is stored in the Max. Fabrication CUM field. If you specify a fabrication CUM number that is lower than the Max. Fabrication CUM, then this CUM number is ignored.
- In case of a manual CUM reset: The new values of Max. Raw Material CUM and Max. Fabrication CUM fields are taken from the Raw Material CUM and Raw Fabrication CUM fields of the previous single plan. The Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM and Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM fields receive the values from the Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM and Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM of the previous single plan.
- In case of an automatic CUM reset through the import of a new EDI message: The new values of Max. Raw Material CUM and Max. Fabrication CUM fields are taken from the Raw Material CUM and Raw Fabrication CUM fields of the EDI message. The Plan Version of Max. Raw Material CUM and Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM fields receive the version of the new combined plan.
- Plan Version of Max. Fabrication CUM
- Internal version number of the plan that caused the last change of the Max. Fabrication CUM. To display this plan, select Historic Plan from the Processing Status drop-down list on the Plans page. Click the Drill down button of the appropriate plan version.
- Customer Order Number
- This field shows the customer's identity number that is assigned to a specific order.
- External Document Number
- This field shows the external document number of the release order from the OEM. The field can be used for these purposes:
- In case of incoming ASC X12 864 text messages, the text message are linked to the corresponding release orders by the External Document Number. The imported text messages are displayed on the Text Messages page.
- In case of requirements from different model years, the release number of the last planning schedule is contained in this field. Requirements can have different release numbers respectively model years for the same requirement date. The option Filter by First Reference Number in the Requirement Consolidation Rules enables to store the requirements in parallel in one plan. To automatically remove requirements for older model years, you can use the field Delete Everything that Does not Match First Reference Number. The field must be set to Delete by External Document ID. If a planning schedule with an increased release number is received, then the requirements for this model year are stored in the new plan revision. Other requirements for older model years are automatically removed. To delete requirements for an old model year manually, remove the requirements of the new plan for the old model year. Increase the release number in the External Document Number field.
- External Supplier Number
- This field shows the external number of the supplier.
- Message Sequence Number
- This field is equivalent to the Message Sequence Number on the Incoming Messages page of the Transformation area. The field shows the order in which the messages are processed by Transformation. You can identify the message on the Incoming Messages page that results in the specific single plan in Release Management. The field is only displayed on the Planning Schedule and Shipment Schedule tabs.
- Transmission Number
- The transmission number of the customer's release order that has been created when processing the message. The transmission numbers must be in complete ascending order. The transmission number is incremented by one with each message exchange. The field is only displayed on the Planning Schedule and Shipment Schedule tabs.
- Transmission Date
- Date of the transmission. The field is only displayed on the Planning Schedule and Shipment Schedule tabs.
- Version Created By
- This field shows the originator of the plan version:
- Import: The plan version has been created by a release order import.
- User: The plan version has been created manually by a user.
- Shipment/Consumption: The plan version has been created by an import of shipment or consumption.
- Version Updated by User
- Name of the user who performed the last plan update.
- Last Updated On
- Date and time of the last plan update.
