Managing plans

To manage plans of release orders in Release Management, you can perform these actions:

  • View the contract information that is sent by the ERP system and control the status of the assigned contract lines of a customer. Status information shows, for example, whether internal or external logistics service providers are involved. This information indicates that Release Management processes shipments or inventory consumption that are sent from the ERP system.
  • View the shipped and confirmed shipments for customers that are sent by the ERP system.
  • Select a contract line and view the referenced data of a plan, such as single plans for the shipment schedules and planning schedules. You can also view the combined plan that includes the existing requirement situation for the combined message types. Review the cumulative quantities, the calculated in-transit quantity, the shipments, and details about the contract, the item, and the customer attributes.
  • Manually create plans for a contract line of a customer and an item.
  • Modify single plans of shipment schedules and planning schedules. You can use the current requirement situation as a default. Alternatively, you can create a completely new requirement situation. You can, for example, specify new requirements that you have received from the customer by fax. Both methods to change single plans result in new revisions of the single plan and the combined plan.
  • Manage unprocessed plans. Unprocessed plans are incoming release orders that must be approved manually or release order imports that failed. Review failed release order imports that must be adjusted, because of incorrect or missing data.
  • Manage, manually create, edit, and process sequential call-offs.
  • Look up the CUM changes. Reset the received CUMs at the end of the fiscal year for the plans of a customer. Or adjust the shipped CUMs for the existing plans of a customer.
  • Review and reprocess inbound BOD messages.
