Creating a new requirement situation for shipment schedules

Sometimes plans for a contract line that are imported automatically cannot be used as a template to copy parts of the requirement data. You can create a completely new requirement situation for contract lines of a customer that have the status Active. An existing plan must be assigned to the contract line. If you select a contract line that has the status New, then a message displays that no plan exists for this contract line.

Note: If an unprocessed plan exists for the contract line that has not been rejected or deleted, then a warning message is displayed. If you save the new plan version, then take into account that obsolete release order data may be imported when you release the unprocessed plan.

To create the new requirement situation:

  1. Select Release Management > Shipment Schedules.
  2. Click the Drill down button of a contract line that has the status Active.
The detail view of the Shipment Schedules page is displayed.
  3. Click New Plan Without Template.
The existing order lines of the current single plan are removed.

You are prompted to select the desired time zone for the Arrival Date on the requirement, if these conditions are complied with:

    • The Customers code list has a time zone defined.
    • The Pick-up Date setting is disabled on the Message Processing Rules page for the associated customer.

In the Timezone Change Confirmation dialog box, select the time zone of the ship to/customer or your own time zone and click OK.

  14. To use the fast entry facility, click New Requirement Fast Entry.
A new order line is created.
