Navigation and user interface

This chapter provides an overview of the user interface and menu structure in Automotive Exchange v12.0.00.

About button

The About (About) button at the top right of the screen allows you to view information for every service in the application. Each listed service can be expanded to display the respective build information.

Top-level navigation menu

The navigation menu on the left pane has the services listed in this order:

  • Transformation
  • Release Management
  • Shipping
  • Printing
  • ION Connector
  • Global
  • Master Data
  • Communications
  • Alerts
Note: Only the services for which you are authorized are visible to you in the navigation menu.

Services with menu option changes

Automotive Exchange v12.0.00 features a multi-tenant database model that includes a global database and a tenant database:

  • Release Management: A new menu selection, Inbound BODs, is used to display BOD messages received and processed by the Release Management Service.
  • Shipping: A new menu selection, Inbound BODs is used to display BOD messages received and processed by the Shipping Service.
  • Printing: These are the new menu selections in this service:
    • Client Configuration: This module displays the configuration information associated with the On-Premises Print Agent for the user’s tenant.
    • Print Templates: This module allows for the management of custom print templates created by this tenant.
    • Print Dispatchers: This module allows for the management of custom print dispatcher templates created by this tenant.
    • Print Translations: This module allows for the management of custom print translations created by this tenant.
    • Print Resources Zip: This module allows for the management of the custom print resources zip file created by this tenant.
  • ION Connector: These are the two menu selections in this service:
    • Inbound BODs: This module shows the BOD messages received from ION.
    • Outbound BODs: This module shows the BOD messages sent to ION.
  • Global: This is the new Global Data Service that contains these menu selections:
    • Tenants: This option provides access to the details associated with tenants that have been provisioned for Automotive Exchange.
    • Transformation Style Sheets: This option provides access to the Infor standard transformation style sheets.
    • Print Templates: This option provides access to the Infor standard print templates.
    • Print Dispatchers: This option provides access to the Infor standard print dispatchers.
    • Print Resources Zip: This option provides access to a zip file containing all the current Infor standard print templates and dispatchers.
    • Properties: This option provides access to any application-level configuration properties.
    • Code Lists: This option provides access to the code lists that are managed by Infor.
    • Codes: This option provides access to the codes that are managed by Infor.
    • Change Log Level: This option provides access to the log level of Automotive Exchange services.
  • Master Data: A new menu selection, Inbound BODs, is used to display BOD messages that have been received and processed by the Master Data Service.
  • Communications: This is a new service that contains these menu selections:
    • Inbound Files: This option provides access to the inbound EDI messages that the application received from external communication partners.
    • Outbound Files: This option provides access to the outbound EDI messages that the application has sent to external communication partners.
    • Provider Configurations: This option provides access to the configuration information for the implemented communication providers.
    • Communication Method: This option provides access to the configuration of which provider type is used by a tenant.
    • Provider Resolver Configurations: This option provides access to the configuration used to identify a tenant for incoming messages based on the contents of those messages.
    • On-premises Partner Mappings: This option provides access to the cross-reference configuration of the Automotive Exchange partner ID to the partner ID of the external communication provider.
    • On-premises Client Configuration: This option provides access to the configuration details of the On-Premises Communication Agent.
  • Alerts: This is a new service that contains these menu selections:
    • Alerts: This option provides access to alert messages that have been raised by Automotive Exchange.
    • Alert Configurations: This option provides access to the configuration of alert destinations.
