Reviewing inbound files

On the Inbound Files page, you can review the list of inbound EDI messages. The Communication Service received the messages from external trading partners through the Communication Provider Service or the On-premises Communication Service.

To review the list of inbound EDI messages:

  1. Select Communications > Inbound Files.
  2. Review this information:
    Correlation
    The field specifies a concatenated string consisting of these parts: The tenant ID of the tenant that is the receiver of the message, the sending communication service, and a consecutive number.
    File Type
    The field specifies the message standard of the inbound EDI message. The file types that support to uniquely identify a tenant by a receiver ID are: X12, EDIFACT/ODETTE, and VDA.
    Status
    The field shows the status of the inbound message that the Communication Service received.
    Status Description
    Created The Communication Service has created an entry for the inbound message on the Inbound Files page.
    Stored The Communication Service has stored the inbound message in the tenant database.
    Failed to store received message The Communication Service failed to store the inbound message in the tenant database.
    Failed to locate the Communication Provider Service The Communication Service failed to locate the Communication Provider Service.
    Tenant resolved The Communication Service has identified the tenant that is the receiver of the message.
    Failed to identify tenant The Communication Service failed to identify the tenant.
    Sent to Transformation The Communication Service has sent the message to the Transformation Service.
    Failed to send to Transformation The Communication Service failed to send the message to the Transformation Service.
    Tenant
    The field specifies the tenant of the application to which the inbound message is sent.
    Created On
    The field shows the creation date and time of the data.
    Last Updated On
    The field shows the date and time of the last update of the data.
