Reviewing outbound file details

The Outbound File Details page shows the details of an outbound EDI message. The Communication Service has sent this message to an external trading partner through the Communication Provider Service or the On-premises Communication Service.

To review the details of the outbound EDI message:

  1. Select Communications > Outbound Files. Click the Drill down button of an outbound file.
  2. Review this information:
    File Type
    The field specifies the message standard of the outbound EDI message. The file types that support to uniquely identify a tenant by a receiver ID are: X12, EDIFACT/ODETTE, and VDA.
    Tenant
    The field specifies the tenant of the application from whom the outbound EDI message is sent.
    Partner ID
    The field specifies the partner ID of the trading partner to whom the outbound EDI message is sent.
    Sender
    The field shows the sender ID of the outbound message.
    Receiver
    The field shows the receiver ID of the outbound message.
    Status
    The field shows the status of the outbound message that the Communication Service has sent.
    Status Description
    Created The Communication Service has created an entry for the outbound message on the Outbound Files page.
    Stored The Communication Service has stored the outbound message in the tenant database.
    Failed to locate the Communication Provider The Communication Service failed to locate the Communication Provider.
    No tenant identifier found in message The Communication Service could not find a tenant ID in the outbound message.
    Sent to Communication Provider Service The Communication Service has sent the outbound message to the Communication Provider Service.
    Failed to send to Communication Provider Service The Communication Service failed to sent the outbound message to the Communication Provider Service.
    Sent to On-premises Communication Provider The Communication Service has sent the outbound message to the On-premises Communication Provider.
    Failed to send to On-premises Communication Provider The Communication Service failed to sent the outbound message to the On-premises Communication Provider.
    Received by trading partner The outbound message was successfully received by the trading partner.
    Failed to update the acknowledgment flag The Communication Service failed to update the acknowledgment flag.
    Found unprocessed message in dead letter queue The Communication Service has found an unprocessed message in the dead letter queue. Messages are moved to the dead letter queue if they have been in the processing queue for longer than the defined time. In this case, the On-premises Communication Service did not retrieve the outbound message from the processing queue.
    Failed to remove processed message from queue The Communication Service failed to remove the processed message from the queue. This indicates a check for an AWS error must be performed.
    On-premises Communication Provider failed to send file to EXS The On-premises Communication Provider failed to send the outbound message to Exchange Services.
    On-premises Communication Provider sent an empty status The On-premises Communication Provider has sent an empty status of the outbound message. A status message from the On-premises Communication Provider was expected, but not included. In this case, it is indicated to perform a check of the On-Premises Communication Agent.
    Correlation
    The field specifies a concatenated string consisting of these parts: The tenant ID of the tenant that is the sender of the message, the receiving communication service, and a consecutive number.
    Content
    The field specifies the content of the outbound EDI message.
    Created On
    The field shows the creation date and time of the data.
    Last Updated On
    The field shows the date and time of the last update of the data.
  3. At the bottom of the page, review the logged actions of the Communication Service in the Message Logs.
