BOD Separation Rules
On the BOD Separation Rules page, you can create, edit, copy, and delete BOD separation rules.
A BOD separation rule defines how
customer requirements of the combined plan are separated into PlanningSchedule
and ShipmentSchedule
BODs
. These BODs are published to ION
and sent to the ERP system. A combined plan can contain, for example, firmed or planned
requirements, or requirements that have a specified time horizon. The BOD separation
rule controls which of these requirements are published in ShipmentSchedule
or PlanningSchedule
BODs
.
The BOD separation is controlled in different ways:
- Requirements from the combined plan are separated and published according to their schedule status, firmed or planned.
- Requirements are separated and published according to the specified shipment frequency.
- Requirements are separated and
assigned according to the selected time horizon option:
- Requirements are transferred if the requirement date is within a time horizon from today up to the specified number of days.
- Requirements are transferred if the requirement date is after a time horizon from today up to the specified number of days.
- Type-specific BOD
separation:
- Referenced requirements from the combined plan are transferred to the defined BOD type.
- Requirements of the combined plan that have a specific message type or message subtype are transferred to the defined BOD type.
- Requirements of the combined
plan that are not used in
ShipmentSchedule BODs
are transferred toPlanningSchedule BODs
.
