Creating a plan for planning schedules manually

Release orders for existing contract lines are usually imported automatically. If an automatic import of shipment schedules and planning schedules is not possible, then you can create plans manually. For example, for technical reasons you receive a customer order by fax. Manual plans can be created for contract lines that have the status New. A plan must not exist for the selected contract line. Attempting to create a plan manually for an active contract line, results in a message that a plan already exists for this contract line.

To create a single plan for a planning schedule:

  1. Select Release Management > Manage Planning Schedules.
  2. Select a contract line that has the status New.
  3. Click Create New Plan, to display the detail view of the Manage Planning Schedules page.
  4. Perform these tasks on the Planning Schedule tab:
    1. Specify the header information of the single plan.
    2. Specify the CUM information of the single plan.
    3. Specify the release information of the single plan.
    4. Specify the trading partner information of the single plan.
    5. Create the order lines of the single plan.
    6. Create the confirmed shipments of the single plan.
    7. Save the plan and check the results.
