Merging shipments

Manage Packaging supports using mixed pallets within individual shipments.

The functionality addresses users of ERP systems that do not support containers in shipments. For example, an ERP may allow shipments to contain only one shipment line. This suffices to handle ordinary shipments in a single or master packaging approach, but restricts the use of mixed pallets. In Shipping, you can merge the ERP shipments to obtain one shipment with multiple shipment lines. In this merged shipment, you can create mixed pallets, which contain several shipment lines.

Note: Manage Packaging supports single, master, and mixed pallets in a shipment.

To merge shipments:

  1. Select Shipping > Manage Packaging.
  2. Select the shipments that you want to merge.
    These prerequisites must be met:
    • The shipments must be part of the same shipper.
    • The minimum status of the shipment must be Completed.
    • The shipments to be merged must not be packed.
      Note: You must delete an existing packaging before merging a shipment.
    • The Ship To location of the shipments must be the same.
  3. Click Merge Shipments.
