Field Mappings
On the Field Mappings page, you can create, edit, copy, and delete field mappings.
In a business process, a field mapping determines the fields that are mapped to or from plan fields or to the shipments. This information is used by the field mapping:
- The reference IDs in the reference lists of
ShipmentSchedule
,SequenceSchedule
,PlanningSchedule
, andShipment BODs
- The message direction
- The field names of plans and shipments
A standard field mapping is defined and used as a default for shipment schedules, sequence schedules, sequential call-offs, planning schedules, and shipments. If the field usage of a trading partner differs from the standard field mapping, you can define a separate field mapping. You can define a field mapping for shipment schedules, sequence schedules, sequential call-offs, planning schedules, and shipments of a trading partner. The reference IDs and the types of reference fields from certain BOD levels that are used for the mapping are predefined. The field mapping is defined for incoming messages, outgoing messages, or both message directions. For shipment schedules, sequence schedules, and planning schedules, the message direction is Inbound or Outbound. For shipments and sequential call-offs the message direction is Inbound. You assign the field mapping to a customer or a ship to on the Trading Partner Mappings page.
To search for a field mapping, specify filter criteria in the field entries of the required columns.
