Comparing releases
In the detail view of the View Plans page, you can compare the requirements of the previous and the current single plan. Both single plans must have the same message type.
To compare the requirements of the previous and the current single plan:
- Select Release Management > View Plans.
- Click the Drill down button of an active plan.
- Click the Compare Release tab.

In the upper part of the Compare Release tab, review the header
information of the previous and the current single plan. Expand Old Plan and New Plan:
- Version
- The version numbers of the previous and the current single plan.
- Release Number
- The release order numbers of the previous and the current single plan.
- Release Date
- The release order dates of the previous and the current single plan.
- Current Received CUM
- The current cumulative quantities of the previous and the current single plan that are received and confirmed by the customer. The current cumulative quantity is based on the last CUM reset date.
- Last Packing Slip Number
- The last packing slip numbers of the previous and the current single plan that are confirmed by the customer.
- Last Shipment Date
- The shipment dates of the last packing slips of the previous and the current single plan that are confirmed by the customer.

Expand the Additional
Information field set and review this information:
- Message Type
- The message type of the previous and the current single plan.
- Message Subtype
- The message subtype of the previous and the current single plan.
- Release Comparison Status
- Release comparison successful. means that the required data is completely available. The application can perform a comparison of the previous and the current single plan. If required data of the previous and the current single plan is missing, then an error message is displayed.

At the bottom of the Compare
Release tab, review the requirements of the previous and the
current single plan. The plans are listed in ascending order sorted by
requirement date:
- Line
- The line numbers of the requirements. The requirements of the previous and current single plan are sorted by requirement date. Earlier requirements have lower line numbers.
- Requirement Date
- The requirement dates of the requirements.
- Old Quantity
- The requirement quantities of the previous single plan.
- Old Released CUM
- The cumulative requirement quantities of the previous single plan beginning with the start date.
- New Quantity
- The requirement quantities of the current single plan.
- New Released CUM
- The cumulative requirement quantities of the current single plan beginning with the start date.
- Released CUM Difference
- The difference between Old Released CUM and New Released CUM. You can view the differences between the two versions of the single plan at first sight and understand the consequences for the supply process.
