Configuring printing the packing slip at an early stage in the shipment process

You can configure the system to print packing slips when the shipments are in the Staged status. Also, to allow for the repeated printing of packing slips for shipments sent by the ERP system, the property Minimum Status for Packing Slip Task Processing for a customer or trading partner must be defined as Printable Shipper.

Note: This description applies to tasks that have the Automatic task type.

To configure the printing of packing slips at an early stage:

Select Administrative Functions > Manage Codes.
To search, use the filter function of the Column Filter Bar section.
In the Name field, specify TradingPartners.
Click Drill down.
Click Edit.
Click Drill down to open the trading partner.
Click the second Values tab on the Manage Code List Properties window.

Specify this information:

Minimum Status for Packing Slip Task Processing

Select the minimum status that the document must have for printing.

This list shows the available statuses.

Note: The statuses are taken from the TaskProcessingForStatus code list.


Status	Description
Shipped Shipment	All the included shipments of the pro forma shipper or of the shipper that are currently available have at least the Shipped status.
Released Shipment	All the included shipments of the pro forma shipper or of the shipper that are currently available have at least the Released status.
No Printing Mode	The task cannot be processed.
Staged Shipment	All the included shipments of the pro forma shipper or of the shipper that are currently available have at least the Staged status.
Complete Shipper	For this shipper, the `SyncCarrierRoute` BOD has been processed. It has either the Complete or the Processed status. All the shipments included in the shipper have the Shipped status.
Printable Shipper	For this shipper, the `SyncCarrierRoute` BOD, `SyncShipment` BOD, and an optional `SyncInvoice` BOD have been processed. All of the shipments of the shipper have the Printable status. This status also allows shippers with the status of Complete to be processed.
Proforma Invoice	For this shipper, the `SyncCarrierRoute` BOD has been processed. It is either in the Complete or in the Processed status. The Priced status of the shipper is Priced via Proforma Invoice, Mixed Pricing or Priced via Invoice.
Invoice	For this shipper, the `SyncCarrierRoute` BOD has been processed. It is either in the Complete or in the Processed status. The Priced status of the shipper is Priced via Invoice.
